So what's the first ride verdict?? That's what I wanna know!
It feels solid! Do not mistake, the 2017 frame is a very good frame, but the new one is better. Still not sure where and how much after only one ride, but it feels solid and nimble, while able to pop on the jumps. The 2017 is very strong as well. It is amazing how silent this bike is and easy to pop on the rear on obstacles. 12 gears are so good... I have not weighed it but judging by lifting it it does not feel much lighter, probably because of the new fork.
My 2015 process 153 as it stands, Upgrades are Blackspire narrow wide 34t chain ring in orange sram gx1400 crank sram 11 speed cassette sram gx rear mech sram x01 shifter southpaw trigger for the KS lev (love this thing) renthal fat bar hope discs with orange centres hope enduro rims with minion dhfs running tubeless mounted on pro 4 hubs, again orange.
Love this bike, I cant imagine ever getting rid of it, does need a few more upgrades though, need a new rear shock thinking of going for a rockshox vivid coil, also need to upgrade the stock brakes.
for 4 years I was looking for anything better and could not find it, not sure if the new Process I just got is much better either...

Hey, Yes I tried Trek Slash and Cannondale Trigger, all are good bikes, but the most fun was the carbon Salsa Red Point, almost bought that one! I like Konas, don't get me wrong, but the new one is very similar in handling to the old one, just a tad lighter and stiffer.

Love that hub/chainring coordination.

What other bikes have you tried out of curiosity? And what don't you like about the new process?
My baby. Process with DL suspension, Hope M4 brakes, I9 torch hubs with lightbike carbon rims, havoc 35mm cockpit. Unfortunately its overkill for my local trails so I might replace it, but I can't bring my self to let it go.
To all Canada bros; the bike shop I work at purchased basically all the leftovers from the Kona East wearhouse. We have it all. Let me know if you need weird parts.
