just remove the grease at the pawl engagement. i tried with a shimano deore (i dont ride it) and it works. i hope it help you

They also used to sell "spoke-a-dokes" when I was a kid. Those were cool too. Basically a plastic bead the snaps onto your spoke, and slips up and down the spoke as the wheel rotates, making a banging noise on the rim when they contact. I still don't think they'll be loud enough for dogwalkers (if your going fast). I suggest carrying rocks to throw at them.......Big Grin

I can! There was a thread a 12 yr old started a few months ago, only it instantly turned into a flame-fest, and has been deleted... good laughs though!
