i've got two questions...

looking at some hydro rims. is it worth going for the 33s or should i plant for the 11s? Due to ever increasing cycling prices, the price difference is quite alot.

also, what do u think to the hope hydro rim brakes?

cheers

If you'd search a bit, you'd find out that the hs11 is pretty weak. hs33 for sure.

hs33 is probably a better option, but it all depends on how you like your lever to feel.
I can't stand the 2005 onwards hs33 levers so i stick with my 2004 hs33.
But yeah, hs33 is best.

Thats why you dont use the magura lever blade, and you buy one of these.

i would have done that but my friend dropped my bike and snapped the lever body in half so i just put the old red brakes on instead.
those are pretty sick levers though

Yeah, and they're longer than the stock lever so you get a bit of extra power due to the leverage.

sorry for bumping some old threads but figured it was easier than starting a new thread

I have an old front HS11 that I got from a buddy and am planing on using it on the rear of my mod. I know I will need new lines and a new right side lever.

aren't the HS11 and HS33 slave cylinders the same? is it just the lever that sucks on the HS11?

I was plannig on getting an Echo TR complete brake or lever and re-use my HS11 calipers.

who makes some good lines? Stock magura? I'm interested in stainless lines or the colored jagwire lines

so far as i know, the only difference is the lever. I'd get some new levers, and get a range of pads for different weather conditions.

I did the same thing. I re-piped a pair of HS-11's for use on the back of my ride... Then I replaced the lever with a HS-33 lever. Works good.

The slaves are the same. The masters are the difference. The HS-11 master will be weaker.

I hear that Echo brakes are leakers and are not worth the cash.

Magura lines will good. The magura stainless lines work pretty good to just alot more money.
