Hi,

I am currently saving up for a Heckler, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on sizing. I just sold my hardtail that I rode for years and purchased when I was an inch or so shorter than I am now. It was an 18" Medium bike frame. I have also been riding my brothers Specialized Hardrock which is a size 17" Medium frame.

I am 5'10" and I have improved at biking a lot recently. I ride mostly Moab and local singletrack here in the wasatch. I am getting more and more aggressive the more I ride. I am 5'10" and have a 32 inch inseam (not pant inseam, true inseam). I will be setting the bike up to ride a little more all mountain than XC since I ride more AM style.

This bike comes in a M - 17" frame and a L - 19" frame. What would you recommend? I feel like I am right in between sizes.

I am hearing mixed things both ways. I ride about 35% uphill/XC and 65% AM/DH on a bike. Not like intense DH or anything, but I do ride pretty aggressively. When I climb I want it to perform uphill, but downhill performance is much more important to me. I wont' really be jumping too much, maybe like 5-6ft jumps max and 4 foot drops max.

I did notice that a Large in Santa Cruz is pretty much like medium in most other brands according to this:

oh yeah, i am pulling the trigger either tonight or tomorrow, so any other input would be awesome
