i dont hold the back brake and it works fine, but ive never thought of the pedals moving until just now...

but it probabley is more of a hassle then not holding i bet

if your pedals are moving then your freewheel isn't working to its best
but if you pull the back brack watch the front doesn't dip to much

Your pedals will only move ifyou have a fixed gear. And have you ever held your back brake in the air? Stopping the momentum of the rear wheel will f*ck you up royally.

i duno but shacabahalla (bond) taught me how to do no footers but i dont use my brake at all

If your chain is too tight it will cause your cranks to move as well. Or if you have a strong freewheel and really good crank bearings they might move.
