hey, my friend has £3000 to spend on a freeride bike, thats 5510 for you canadians, or 4900 for you americans. could you guys reccomend him some bikes that will withstand a fair amount of abuse, were talking like 30ft drops and things, thanks alot guysSmile

i read in mbuk about a solid mission 7. perfect, comes with single crowns or can be ridden with dual. 7 inch rear wheel travel. and it is perfect for uk racing if he ever gets interested. not sure about the price but the bike is mint. dont think its for sale yet but heres a pic of the frame Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://pureridersco.co.uk/images/n886205192_5003920_4012.jpg

check out the Norco Shore line-up. they make some pretty amazing bikes. like the shore one....its even on sale. Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://www.norco.com/img/bikes/hires/shore-one.jpg

That is your opinion, his may differ though, and looks don't affect how a bike rides.

true but as this thread was asking for peoples opinion i thought i would give mine. Norcos are overprised and look hideous. they are effectively rip offs of specialised bikes!!!!!

btw, you just said that norco's are overpriced and look hideous, and that because of that they are just like specialized to the point of actually ripping them off. so you're saying that specialized are overpriced and look hideous. (i can draw you a picture...)
