what part of the hub should i measure?

Take your wheel off and measure the part of the hub where the hole is. There is a skewer in it, that is the qr thingy. Measure the hole top to bottom. It should be something like 9 or 10 mm. Don't forget to measure in mm.

9mm and 10mm are the same thing, sounds weird but it is actually measured in inches, by the companies, and 3/8 comes out to somewhere in between 9mm and 10mm, so some people say 9 and some say 10, there is no difference, they both fit the same axle.
