I'm not 100% sure on what headset I need for a straight steerer fork.

Any help?

Also if budgets a factor then cheap as possible Wink

Hi guys

Can someone help me with this, I have a set of marzocchi dj1 forks and I have no idea what year they are, how to set them up or how or when to service them.
Any advise would be much appreciated

I just built up a hornet and I'm running a straight steerer fork. I got Dartmoor's own "Blink" headset. Comes with both crown races so if you ever change to tapered you already have the race you need. Came in cheaper than any other option at £40.

I need a new DJ frame. Needs to be long (I am 6'4") steel ideally but alloy is okay too. Price don't matter.

Hi guys

End of last week I bled my brake and changed my brake pads, I re sanded my disc because the old pads were contaminated, now I've bedded in the disc and pads, the brake will lock up barely pulling the lever but for some reason if i use the brake to slow down it starts howling, any ideas?
Thanks

is it properly aligned? check that first, then try rubbing off the pads/rotor with a clean cloth and re-bedding them in if that doesn't fix it

don't lock it up when you bed it in too, that can cause uneven deposits and howling

That's one thing it could be, every time I align the caliper whenever I tighten the bolts the whole caliper moves...

If I ride normal and pull the brake to slow down it howls... But if I lean all the way back and pull hard it doesn't howl at all...

to align it, loosen off the bolts, spin the wheel, then gradually slow it down with the brake. Keep it pulled hard while you tighten the bolts back up and you should have it right.
