You can see in the above pic that the bar is starting to taper out before the stem finishes. Wanted to run the same combo when the bar became available in the UK,been told by my lbs its a very bad idea. Also there's a guy called Kiran on here, works at sc and he also says no. I had the same kinda problem trying to run certain stems with my enve bar. Although it's strong enough for dh it was initially designed for am/trail use, therefor a regular stem interface,dm stems are considerably wider,Camping outside of this zone where the carbon isn't intended to be clamped will cause integrity issues,it will fail.

hi santa cruz riders
im thinking about getting nomad c and am 6'3" and wondering what size people are riding beause it right on the margin of large and XL

I'd go XL with a short stem, I'm 6'2" and it's been perfect
short being 35mm?

I use a 40mm renthal apex but lots of people swear by 35mm stems. Not sure if I'd feel a noticeable difference really but I'm sure you could ride either.

easton is wider than,I think, every other stem. This is why it causes problems and why the easton bar looks so bulbous.
