Have you tried contacting them about forming some authorized trails?

You'd probably be surprised what you can do given some organization, research, proper proposals and of course resources.

Well seeing as it's on town land, in a protected wildlife area, there's not much that could be done. There aren't enough bikers who care about that spot anymore to stand up against the environmental lobbyists. Stouffville has been in shitty condition for years anyhow, just let it go.

yeah its bullshit just have to wait until they tear it down or wait there for them and take a shovel to them and/or rebuild after there gone thats what happened after last time

how are you not mad that all the hard work you put into the trails might be gone in a matter of minutes
and how would they get in there with trucks?
wouldnt they be destroying the enviroment with the trucks?

Building is the best part! Even if they tear stuff down it just allows us to build things better and funner. The only thing we can do is laugh at them because they are probably gonna have one tough time trying to plow everything even with ATV's.
It shouldn't be a surprise. Oak Ridges Moraine + legit conservation = BULLSHIT for bikes.

there is a lot of hypocritical occurrences that happen when the town comes in to tear down jumps, so yes the will likely bring in a skidsteer and wont actually "restore" the area like they say... Their goal is to keep us out and let the forest go back to its "natural" state, despite the relatively new river of runoff filled with oils, pesticides, and nitrates, that happens to flow through the same spot evertime it rains.

also why dont they try to plow the dirtbike trails right beside all of that

i was at Big Trees today. the jumps are really nice and not in shitty condition as mentioned up the page.
these jumps have hard work, blood sweat and tears in them and the only way they can get to big trees is on foot with shovels and tearing those down will be a bitch. anywhere else might be easier, but if anything gets wrecked we can build it up again. no trucks r going thru there, no way r we letting this go.
