Most stems have gotten shorter now that bikes have gotten longer. I'd suggest you ride it and get used to it, then make a decision on whether you really need a longer one or not.

try making your wheelbase a bit longer or pushing your bars forward a bit.
i already pushed em as far as i can without lookin stupid haha
If you're actually pushing your bars forward to get the bike to feel comfortable then it's time for a longer stem.
Try to figure out how much your grips have moved forward from the bar tilt, then add that much via the stem. I don't know how many 60mm stems are still out there, but there's probably a few still in production.
If you need something longer than that, it might be time to get a larger frame.
all im saying is that he prolly wont need a 60mm stem unless hes racing. the longest stem id take would be a 55 ie the macniel topnotch or he prolly should get a longer frame lol
