fri 2nd of april sat 3rd of april sun 4th of april
meet at shell garage every day at 10.30am and work though to 5.00pm
what do you guys make of that?
10.30 til 5!!? We're not building the bloody eiffel tower! Me and ryan can build big doubles in like 3 hours work tbh. Would it not make more sense meeting at the trail aswell? Ben, you make me LOL sometimes!
i can imagine... i was thinking mmore: berms switchbacks uncovered roots etc...
roots are tricky too make sure you dont dig up too many that trees start to tilt it happens
Flip, you have to be one of the most negative riders Ive ever had the mispleasure of reading.
Everyone else, trailbuilding is awesome, and very very rewarding, if you have a hill (ideally with permission), people willing to build (obviously not the above muppet), and a rough idea of what you want, go for it!
FWIW, this is a trail I built last year with a mate; http://minimole.pinkbike.com/blog/Whippy.html
bet it took you ages? i do build trails but as i said ide rather maintain trails and leave it to people who can make a realy good one but ide happily help with any trail building in local areas if anyone asked me
thats what im saying, if we spend loads of hours over that weekend then we an have a really good track. im being really organised and stuff. but it is called 'livingston trail building days' so we organise dates...
i just want everything to be organised so then every one actually help and then we can have good tracks.
Im starting to have second thoughts. Whenever me and ryan build our stuff, we do it on shitty days. Good days are for riding other stuff! Building isn't about set times and being organised. It's about just having a laugh and doing it when it suits you. Just my opinion so don't go scitzo anyone.
