Largest tire that will fit in a manitou nixon

I have a couple Kendal nevgal 2.7 tires and am wondering if they will fit in a manitou nixon fork arch ok? I know my shermans fit panaracer fire fr 2.4 tires fine so I imagine the nixon should take 2.7. I Just want to make sure.

The nixon shares a similar sized chassis to the sherman line and the sherman only took up to a 2.5 or something with ok clearance. I gave up on a nixon, I cant find a 160mm travel adjustable one anywhere on the internet.

I had a 2.6 wide tire in my nixon and there was basically no room left. If I tweeked my wheel it would rub. But the thing about tires is that they are all differnt a 2.7 from one company is 2.4 from another.

If you have a newer Nixon or one with the "Tire Clearance Upgrade", then you'll be fine with a 2.7 Nevengal. The guy I got my bike from ran one up front just fine as long as he kept his wheel true. I'm currently running a 2.4 Panaracer Fire FR (that's more like a 2.55) and its got a pretty good amount of clearance, so 2.7 isn't out of your league.
