Special thanks goes out to Hummeriod for helping me get the rims at an unbelievable price. Without him, I would have had to pay more than double what I did for the rims.

Maybe. If I do, it wont be until next winter. I'd rather ride than waste my time painting. The white doesn't look all that bad on this bike though.

Don't get me wrong: your bike and frame are really nice, but what's the point of a custom (and expensive) frame if it has the most classic geo? I know it's built like a tank, but it's like the same geo as a Sunday Wave, which is pretty darn strong too...

Chain stay brake mounts, solid 1/4" drop outs, gyro tab holes, and grind guards among other things. There's more to a frame than just geometry.

What are the pros and cons of chainstay brakes vs. seatstay?

Posted: Mar 10, 2010 at 18:50 Quote
Pros: Stiffer, more responsive, and overall better working brakes on the chain stays.

Cons: Annoying to set up because the chain, sprocket, and cranks can get in the way. Also if your chain is loose it can slap against the brake and get annoying.

How did you fit the MDS with your hollows? I have powerbites, and had to put my 28T MDS sprocket the other way...

I filed my Powerbites down until the arm would fit inside the sprocket.
