Hi - I've just started to get into downhill and am very quickly realising that I need some gear - ie body armour, dh shorts and tops etc etc. However it seems really hard to get hold of women specific stuff though without paying a fortune (cant afford Dainese) - anyone got some recommendations, body armour in particular? Mens stuff comes up too big - the suits are too long in the back. Thanks v much!

I tried 661 armour but found it uncomfortable so I can only recommend Dainese, like u said, it is mega expensive though. Its hard to find girls armour, best thing to do is go and try it on.

Loeka do some gr8 clothing, the dh shorts are good, really comfortable, look good and dont get ripped to shreds when you crash. Fox do some good girls jerseys in mx range. Men's dh jerseys are usually ok in small aswel.

Have a look on ebay, there was some new loeka kit going dirt cheap on there couple of weeks ago, chain reaction do some aswel but don't think theyve got much left.

I tried many different body armour and they were all to big or long in arms etc, then gave in and bought the Rockgardn ladies armour from Chain Reaction and it fits great, only draw back is its pink but i wear jersey over top anyway. Hope this helps a bit.
Also find the Royal clothing in XS fits really well too.
