So who or what the hell is E9G?E9G, or Element 9 Graphics specializes in custom helmet design and paint. Our distinctive lids can be seen at downhill events across the globe as they flash by in a blur of lurid paint. Bike racing and motorsports are our domain, but we’ll readily apply our skills to any sport deemed extreme enough to require a helmet.
Our designs range from clean and minimalistic to ultra-complex, complete with special effects paints and meticulous detail; the only limits are your imagination. We also produce race jerseys for moto and mountain bike riders, applying the same level of flair and creativity that characterizes our custom helmets. With plans to expand our range of biking sportswear to include gloves, shorts, and jackets, expect to see Element 9 Graphics appearing at a race near you very soon.

Ok, now that the elevator pitch is out of the way, E9G is run by me - Craig - from Aberdeenshire in Scotland. I’ve been into bikes since I was three years old, probably influenced by my dad always having owned motorcycles, working on them and even running his own shop at one point. So I’ve grown up around two wheels and was never far from my bike. I studied graphic design at college and became interested in custom helmet paint as it's something that relates to both bikes and design, and is a good way for me to combine my passions. After completing a diploma in design and landing my first design job, I got an airbrush and set about painting helmets for my buddies. Fast forward a few years and I've painted helmets for the likes of Tahnée Seagrave, Wyn Masters, Ruaridh Cunningham and Innes Graham.

In 2015 we launched the Apex race jersey and now we're working hard on some new designs for a new range, along with some t-shirt designs. We're hoping these will be ready to drop by Christmas time.

I'm also keen to support riders any way I can, so E9G currently works with Sam Herd from Perth, Scotland, and up and coming DH World Cup rider, and grass roots SDA (Scottish Downhill Association) riders Rob Johnston and Ross Johnston.

Depends on how detailed it is, but starts at £350, assuming you are talking about the custom paint jobs...
