Video: Filming Rio Escondido

Mid May we began filming our first edit of the season on one of our favorite local trails "Rio Escondido". It was a killer two weekends with a solid fourteen hours of filming and another ten spent editing. Perhaps not the longest production ever but it certainly is the most time we've invested into one of our films, especially with looming exams and homework projects to get done before school was out it was a lot to take on. However it was totally worth it and we had a killer time trying out our new equipment and filming new riders. On our first day of shooting we got stuck in the rain until the afternoon when the rain died down enough for us to not have to worry about the camera getting completely soaked. The following weekend was a great day for filming and so we set out bright and early to start filming only to get held up for almost two hours by a stray dog we found on the run. Thankfully his owner came and we were able to finish up filming for the edit. All in all the two weekends spent filming were super fun and we certainly developed a new love for the trail after spending the whole day hiking up and down it, it makes you appreciate the work that goes into the professional biking videos that you see on Pinkbike.
