Shuttles to the top of the Nevus in New Zealand.

After many months of planning, Rapid Descent Racing's team riders have arrived in New Zealand! They are based in Queenstown during the upcoming months training for the race season. Each week we will be posting a blog showcasing the team's abilities and their adventures.

The First weeks:
Upon the riders arrival in New Zealand, they were greeted by a friend who showed them around, introduced them to the locals and shuttled them to the top of the Nevus Mountain range to try out their new bikes. Excited by the enthusiasm that the community had shown them, the boys were happy to share some of their own knowhow and even got one of the young boys started early (below)!

Getting them going at a young age.

Queenstown Bike Park:
Here are some photos from the rider's first days on the dry and loose trails in the Queenstown Bike Park!

Jumping into the berm on Hammy s track.

High speed and dusty on lower Original.

Steep dusty tech.

Race style on a root gap.

The team would like to thank their sponsors: Scott, Deity Components, Sapim, S4 Suspension, and Parry Sound Bikes as well as the Inglis family for the all of the help.

To be continued...

It's awesome to have riders from Ontario with this skill level. If only they posted their names, so we could cheer them on!
