SRAM X0 Enduro Race at the iXS Dirtmasters in Winterberg, Germany

I am sure you have read a lot about Enduro bikes and parts lately, but have you ever thought about an Enduro race?
The IXS Dirtmasters Festival in Winterberg Germany added this discipline to its event last year with great success. This year the race is sponsored by SRAM X0 and will include team scoring for the first time.

Enduro races are still fairly new and have evolved out of a motorbike enduro and car rally racing mix. A typical one-day enduro race consists of 3 to 5 timed "special" stages which take place on technically demanding, generally descending terrain. The course in Winterberg consists of 5 stages and will be 20km long. The special stages are apart from each other and linked by "liaison" stages. These stages are physically demanding as most of them go uphill. In this race, riders will have to overcome a total of 800 meters of climbing. The winner is the rider who accumulates the lowest amount of time to ride all of the special stages.

Start is June 2nd at 2:00 PM (CET)
Stay tuned for results!
