Alaska, The Last Frontier: The largest state in the USA guarantees you an adventure with its rugged landscape and unforgiving climate. We heard an endless number of tales from the locals of people dying out in the wild. Kelly McGarry, Eric Porter and Chris VanDine put the rubber to the ground in a state which is still largely untouched by freeride mountain bikers.

Sooke, BC is located on the southwest tip of Vancouver Island. As such, it gets more rain than the rest of the Island, but it also doesn't get as many visitors as the rest of the Island.

With the colder-than-usual El Nina hitting BC hard this winter, and the snow line creeping down to the water, I retreated to Vancouver Island with born-and-raised Islander, Andreas Hestler, and mainlander-soon-to-become-Islander, Jamie Biluk, to check out some classic trails near the Island's capital of Victoria.
