Race Face Announces Rider List for UFC II

Race Face Performance Products is proud to announce the selection process for the second annual Ultimate Freeride Challenge has been completed. Last year's contest was a resounding success with the eventual winner being Tyler "Super T" Klassen. Klassen went onto fame and fortune in 2002 by winning the Red Bull Rampage in Utah, and starring in several high-profile mountain bike films.

Through this process, a panel of judges narrowed the entries down to 16 videos which will begin to go online Friday, February 28th. Over the next six weeks Race Face's online community will vote for their favourite videos and the winners will advance for a chance to win a sponsorship contract worth over US$10,000!

Based on fan club feedback to the first contest, several changes were made to this year's UFC. Most noticeably, all footage had to be original. Footage from previous or soon to be released films were not allowed. This limited the number of semi-pro submissions and the result was a field of sixteen amateurs, competing for some big cash.

"We're really stoked with the submissions we received and now it's up to our on-line community to decide who is going to take home the title and the cash" says Race Face's Marshall Rutman. "We've got a lot of young talented riders in the field. In fact, the average age of our competitors is only 19 years old. The riders represent two provinces, three states and we've got a competitor from Australia as well. I can't wait to see our fan club's reaction to the videos."

Riders have been placed randomly in four groups of four with the first round of voting beginning Friday, February 28th.
