Panorama Mountain Village, B.C. - The Mad Trapper BC Cup featuring
cross-country, downhill and 4-cross events is set to go off at Panorama June
28-29. The diversity of the terrain and the calibre of the athletes make
this one of the hottest adventure events taking place at Panorama this
summer.
The cross-country course will have racers using every gear on their bike
while they negotiate the scenic and very challenging course. The downhill
course combines technical single track and a consistently steep fall-line
for a gravity-fed adrenalin rush that doesn't let up until the racer crosses
the finish line.
A favourite event for spectators is sure to be the 4-cross. Four riders will
race head to head over a dirt course made of berms and tabletops. The newly
designed course is a permanent feature at Panorama and will allow for a
pro-qualifying race time of 30-40 seconds, which is well suited for the BC
Cup.
"We are poised to deliver a first class BC Cup event for participants,
support crew and spectators," says race organizer Keith Simmonds. "The
exceptional terrain and facilities make it a great venue for racers and
spectators."
