Silver Star Mountain Sparks up the '03 Season - Vernon B.C.

Silver Star Mountain Resort is opening its bike park this weekend and
sending a little love out to our seasons pass holders at the same time. Silver Star and Big White Season’s Pass holders get to ride for free all weekend!!
The Summit Chair, rising 1500 vertical feet and accessing 16
sweet trails that total 60 km in length, is operating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Due to the Canada Day long weekend the lift will also operate Monday and Tuesday during the same hours. Pass holders must bring their 2002-2003 Winter Season’s Pass to the Summer Ticket Office to receive their Chairlift Ticket for the day.

It's no secret that Silver Star used to be one of the favourite stops on
both the BC Cup and Canada Cup circuits and it's also no secret that we have
no races on the calendar this year. What this means is that we can now
focus on building up our summer product for the masses, not just the elite
rider. Yes Silver Star still has all the great riding that put us on the
map and we also have a great offering for your "significant other" or the
"family" that you are trying to get stoked on riding.

Possibly the best thing about riding Silver Star is all of the other
activities available to you. Horse back riding, hiking, mountain wildflower
tours, and of course the great deals on accomodation. Oops did I just
forget the Pubs? Nothing like a cold one on the Patio after a day on the
bike.

Silver Star is set up perfectly for a weekend road trip from Vancouver or
Calgary. I would suggest hitting us and Sun Peaks on the same weekend and
head for home tired and dirty!
