Six coaches -- Sylvie Allen, Anie Boudreau, Kira Cailes, Cindy Devine, Tanya Hawthorne-Allen, and Candace Shadley -- will travel to the Canmore area to provide a full forty person camp with the best that an all women's weekend of skills and riding could possibly offer.
Skills on deck include everything from basic front wheel lifts and tight cornering for switchbacks, to manuals, wheelie drops, and high speed technical descents. Maintenance clinics, complete with wine and cheese, are scheduled for Saturday night at the host shop, Rebound Cycles, and coaches from the Alberta Bicycle Association will be on hand to discuss related programming and incentives.
If you've missed out on signing up for the Canmore camp, check into the additional Sugoi Dirt Series dates coming up in the area: Panorama on the following weekend, July 12-13, complete with a great accommodations package and heaps of time ramping up skills in their newly expanded bike park, and Calgary later in the season on September 6-7.
The Sugoi Dirt Series is open to women of all skill levels, aged 16 and up. For more information on the program, log on to Cycling BC's website at www.cycling.bc.ca, or call the office at 604-737-3034.
Supporting sponsors of the Sugoi Dirt Series include Powerbar, Rocky Mountain
