'US Open of Mountain Biking' - Diablo Freeride Park - Vernon, NJ

The three-day event produced by TerraLogic Park Industries carries $10,000 in cash & prizes, and offers $1,000 cash prize for first place in both the men's and women's categories, one of the largest cash payouts for a regional mountain bike event.
The event is an open Pro-Am format for both downhill and cross-country
racers, and starts on Friday, September 29th at the Mountain Creek resort in
Vernon, NJ. The Diablo crew has recently re-opened the trails at Mountain
Creek for riding after a two-year hiatus, and the terrain is viewed as some
of the best in the region.

Diablo manager Shawn Orecchio said it simply, "Diablo Freeride Park's
biggest assets are it's location right outside New York City, some great
natural terrain, and the host resort's open attitude towards innovation...
We're pretty excited about delivering a World-Class event to this area."
Added co-manager Clayton Harper, "We've been building new trails and
elements constantly since opening this spring. We're blessed with a core
group of involved pro riders in the area, making both the mountain and the
