Still awaiting official word, but preliminary results show Fionn Griffiths and Gary Houseman were today's big winners. With the top 30 men still waiting for their shot at the course, the skies opened up and dumped a whole lot of water on the dusty course. By the time the top 10 were in ther gate, the course was a slimy, rutted, slippery maze. Visibility was extremely limited, so much so that most professional photographers had left the course.

Official Results and Photos HereOfficial Women's Results are In!!!

1. Fionn Griffiths - 2:17.29
2. Sabrina Jonnier - 2:17.92
3. Kathy Pruitt - 2:19.65
4. Marla Streb - 2:20.36
5. Missy Giove - 2:20.55

Of special note is the fact Missy Giove had fractured her wrist just 15 days ago. She removed the cast to race and on a bobble in the trees, was forced to place her hand on a tree which further aggravated her injury. She doesn't anticipate returning to competition until Durango.

Houseman's run began a few minutes into the rain, when course conditions were near their best in the finals. He was able to take his smooth style onto a tacky course for the top time of the Final round, coming down 4 seconds slower than the top qualifiers.

A huge round of applause came from the cast of riders at the bottom after Mickael Pascal crossed the finish line in 2:08 and change. He did so in the worst of conditions; qualifying in 2nd place he was forced to ride the course in the nastiest soup of the day.

Official Men's Results are In!!!

1. Gary Houseman - 2:06.26
2. Ivan Oulego Moreno - 2:06.59
3. Kirt Vories - 2:06.94
4. Colin Bailey - 2:07.77
5. Stuart Thomson - 2:08.54
6. Mickael Pascal - 2:08.77

It was a great podium for Vories who was overheard complaining of a lack of sleep. On the chairlift ride up after qualifying, he mumbled something about a plan of just having fun riding his bike, hitting some jumps and kissing some babies on the way down.

Congratulations to all the riders!
