For 2004, Eric Fox has brought back some tried, tested and true hardware in addition to some new products to the lineup, in his own words, “I am going to mix it up every year.” The separation between the MTB and BMX is more evident this year than any, with the buyer having full freedom to build a pure freeride/DH hardtail or a dirtjump/street specific rig.The over-sized, heavy-duty, straight gauge 4130 chromoly frame for 2004 is now only available with horizontal dropouts with an integrated axle alignment positioning system. Although there is no option of vertical dropouts; the rider gains the choice of three different sizes (small 21.5”, medium 22.5” & large 23.5” top tube lengths). Eric also shaved a ¼” off the chainstays (15.7" - 16.5” adjustable) to shorten up the rear end for next year. Like last year, the buyer still has the option of a BMX or MTB bottom bracket.

The CNC’d, heat treated 6061 MTB Stem has a few nice cosmetic changes from last year. Specs are as follows: 50.0mm extension, 0.0 degree rise, 25.4mm bar bore and it will retail for $89.99 CAD ea.

The BMX Stem has also been stream-lined from the CHUNK of aluminum model from last year to a more BMX specific style that will have the dirt jumping kids asking for tissues. Like its MTB brother the BMX stem is also CNC’d, heat treated 6061 aluminum with the same rise and extension but is bored specifically for the 22.2mm BMX bars. The stem will retail for $89.00 CAD ea.

The beefy MTB Bars are made with double butted 6061 T6 aluminum and go from 5.0mm at the center to 2.5mm at the ends. Specs are as follows: - 5.0 degree bend, 9.0 degree sweep, 50mm rise, 25.4 diameter, double butted from 5.0mm to 2.5mm and they will retail for $69.99 CAD ea.

The thick gauge, heat treated 4130 chromoly street/DJ bars are bulletproof. Specs are as follows: 5.0 degree bend, 9.0 degree sweep, 80mm rise and a 22.2 diameter. They will retail for $59.99 CAD ea.

The porn-star speckled DH/Freeride saddle is back for 2004 in addition to the smaller DJ/Street specific saddle. Both sporting: heavy duty vinyl and Kevlar, double stitching, fat 8.0mm chromoly rails and front / rear polyurethane bumpers. Both saddles retail for $59.99 CAD ea.

The tough yet affordable milled, heat treated 6061, 330mm tube seat post is back for 2004 but with more offerings in the size department: 26.8mm, 27.0mm, 27.2mm & 31.8mm. The post will retail for $43.99 CAD ea.

Back for 2004 are the new and improved uber-sexy, CNC’d, heat treated 6061 end caps, now sporting three clamping screws rather than one. The end caps will retail for $27.00 CAD per pair.

Another new addition to the line-up is the top cap with 10mm through bolt and star nut, allowing riders to run cable through it. They will retail for $12.99 CAD ea.

Back again are the hella popular, super sticky 60 durometer Duro / .243 dh/shore tires offered in 24"x2.6" & 26"x2.6", stay tuned for some wider models in the future. The tires will retail for $63.00 CAD ea.

And hey, while your at it, pick up a real men wear black 243 RACING t-shirt to show your colors. Available in S / M / L / XL and will retail for $29.99 CAD ea.
