Progressive suspension had some as yet unseen shocks on display for 2004, including new 2-way and 3-way coil shocks. The 2-way shock has all the great features and functions of the 5-way 5th Element but limited to rebound and air pressure adjustments.
The 3-way also has all the great features as the 5-way, but in addition to the rebound and air pressure Progressive added one Compression adjuster instead of both the Beginning and End Stroke adjusters.

fit more bikesAlso brand spanking new for 2004 is an 8.5x2.5 inch stroke Freeride Air shock. The freeride air shock is bigger and beefier than the XC air shock, but with all the same great features, including the weight savings. It uses 5th Element CV/T (Control Valve Technology) as used in the 5th Element coil shocks, adjustable Platform Damping that eliminates need for a lock out system as used in other shocks and adjustable rebound damping that allows for refined traction and handling capabilities. Three simple and easy adjustments which make this shock easy to run.
Other 5th Element cross country air shocks are in full production at the moment and are available in 6.5x1.5, 7.5x2 and 7.88x2 which should fit 90% of the bikes on the market today.
Progressive suspension's 5th Element technology will also be going into MX and ATV’s. In a year or so, they also plan on making suspension for snowmobiles and off-road trucks.
