Nordic Ride is Scandinavia’s first freerider film. The movie is due for release in Spring 2004 and features riders from Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark in a number of locations across the Nordics, including
Mountain Mayhem, the location for northern Europe’s largest freeride festival, and the very same place New World Disorder came to shoot footage for
Ride the Lightning. A lot of the riders are unheard of outside of their own domain, but have exceptional skills comparable to some of the sponsored riders in the States and Canada.
Simon Dannoff and
Robin Wallner are two names to watch closely and are featured in the film.
The people behind the movie are cameraman
Victor Norman of 'Fotografik' and film producers
John Roche and
David Rimmel - who are the organizers of the Mayhem festival. The entire film has been produced without any commercial funding, and has been the result of hard work and personal interest to gather up the best footage of riders from this neck of the woods. We are currently pursuing sponsors for the film and Mayhem festival in order to distribute it properly.
