Transition Bikes set out three weeks ago with the help of PinkBike.com to let the riding community decide the name of their
new hardtail frame to be released spring 2004.
The contest drew over 6000 entries from across the globe. "It was a huge success”, says co-owner
Kevin Menard. "We received far more entries than we expected and as a result it took us awhile to finally decide on the winner".
Transition Bikes would like to thank everyone that entered the contest. "It was pretty cool to see so many people take an interest in being a part of our company”, remarked co-owner Kyle Young. The winning name was chosen because it reflects the true nature of the frame being versatile enough for North Shore trail riding as well as dirt jumps and skate parks. “The name also fits well with the Transition DirtBag name since allot of “dirtbags” live in trailer parks” said winner
Eric Sockness.
This spring PinkBike.com will be doing a review of the frame so stay tuned for a full write up and pictures of the frame in action.
The Winner: The Transition
"Trail-or-Park".
Congratulations
Eric Sockness for submitting the winning name!
