California has the “Terminator”, Flachau has the “Herminator”, now BikeWorld Leogang, Austria has the “Eliminator“. During BikeWorld Leogang’s “Out of Bounds” season opening weekend, May 20-23rd, the new Kona Top-to-Bottom Eliminator DH/Freeride race will award a combined €10,000 euros to the last man and woman standing. The Eliminator is open to the public, with qualifiers taking place on Thursday and Friday. The riders will face BikeWorld’s brand new course with a choice of race lines and integrated jumps from the Asitz middle station down to the valley floor. The best 64 male and female bikers will continue their battle for the title in the main race event on the 22nd of May, 2004.
Kona Clarks Les Gets riders Fabien Barel (FRA), bronze medal winner of the World Champs 2003 and Tracy Moseley (GB), 3rd place overall in the World Cup, have already committed to the weekend with the hope of luring more international starts to sample Leogang’s treats.
BikeWorld Leogang is quickly becoming a European freeride destination because of the continuous on-mountain improvements and resort investments that have taken place over the last two years, with more planned for 2004.
