The first round of the third annual
Race Face Ultimate Freeride Challenge has been completed. The votes have been counted and congratulations go out to
Wayne Goss who advanced to the semi-finals with a convincing win - taking 47% of total votes."The first round went extremely well" says Race Face's Marshall Rutman. "There were over 5000 votes cast this week. It's great to see the mountain bike community getting so involved in the contest. I think they made a good choice this round and I'm looking forward to see who they choose next."
The second round of videos are now online and ready for your vote.
The four riders who will be competing for their chance at US$25,000 are:

Tyler McCaul --- 14 --- Aptos, CA
Evan Holmgren --- 18 --- Port Coquitlam, BC
Chris Quintero --- 32 --- Knightsen, CA In other UFC news, the eventual finalists won't have to wait as long to find out who wins the contest. The winner announcement has been moved up a day and will now take place at the
Bike Magazine Video Awards in Monterey California on Friday April 16th. There, they'll be signed to a sponsorship contract with
Race Face Components and Clothing,
Giant Bicycles and
Manitou Suspension worth over US$25,000!
