Rye, New Hampshire – Grab your calendars and scratch in a new date for the 3rd annual BIG Wheels mountain bike (MTB) contest at Rye Airfield. Due to popular demand we are moving back to our spot for the two previous events and will now have the contest on Monday June 21st, just after the Mount Snow NCS event.BIG Wheels will still span two days with a video and a special mtb only session on Sunday with demo bikes from Sinister available to ride all night long. The contest on Monday starts promptly at 6pm. When asked about Big Wheels, Aaron Chase had this to say, “The 3rd annual BIG Wheels comp is going to be off the chain!!” AC said it, so you gotta know it will be true.

There will be five different categories: Open women, Pro/Open Men, and 3 different amateur categories: junior (18 and under), senior (19-29) and master (30+). The cash and prize purse is guaranteed to exceed $5000.

Sinister Bikes, the rider owned company with Bill Lazdowski and “Frank the welder” at the helm has signed on as the official bike sponsor for the 2nd year in a row. You can expect sick prizes for the amateur category once again thanks to their generosity.

Don’t forget to pack your bags for the long haul on the East coast. The RAF 3rd Annual Big Wheels Contest is the final event in a long run that begins with the U.S. Open Of Mountain Biking, the weekend of May 29-30 at the Diablo Freeride Park in Jersey followed by NCS stops in West Virginia and Vermont.
