DevineRIDE Mountain Bike Camps Premier in Rossland BC

Rossland, BC is a known hot spot for great mountain biking, so much so that it has earned the title ‘Mountain Bike Capital of Canada’. This year, the popular trails of Rossland will be the stage for a program of summer bike camps delivered by some of the region, and sport’s, mountain biking stars.Past World DH Mountain Bike Champion and five time Canadian Mountain Bike Champ, Cindy Devine has been riding and training on the trails of Rossland for years. With nine years experience as a professional mountain bike instructor and coach, Cindy has teamed up with fellow local Kirsty Exner, World Extreme Skiing Medallist, to create Rossland’s brand of bike camp, DevineRIDE.

"We had a vision for Rossland," said Cindy, "We wanted to share our passion for riding with others who love the sport and are enthusiastic about developing their skills in a supportive, fun and friendly environment."

After hosting a series of successful Women’s Freeskiing Camps at Red Mountain, Kirsty Exner was excited with the concept. "That’s what we do here in the summer...we ride our bikes. I grew up in this town and have ridden the trails many times over and still find them every bit as fun and challenging!"


Hence, DevineRIDE was born and the wheels, and rubber, were set in motion.

DevineRIDE camps are weekend events. Riders participate in two days of skills instruction, rides, and technical seminars, plus plenty of time socializing with fellow riders. Camps are both Women Only and Adult Co-Ed. Youth programs are also offered.

The DevineRIDE instructor team is a talented and experienced team of respected riders. The hosts, Cindy and Kirsty, team up with Rossland local ripper, Pam Shirley, and hot riders from nearby Nelson -- internationally renowned free-rider, Mike Kinrade; bike trials rider guru, Shawn Denny; DH racer, Maya Grosch; and XC enduro rider, Jeannie Dwyer. That’s a team of talent.


Says Mike Kinrade, "Riding my bike is the best feeling in the world and I hope to show everyone how amazing this sport is and how it can enrich your life in so many ways." Talk about passion for the sport!

Rossland is a funky mountain town that offers world class ski and mountain bike terrain. DevineRIDE bike camps will capitalize on geography and the enthusiastic mountain bike community. "Bottom line is we love to ride," said Cindy. "We hope to design and deliver programs that reflect how we would like to progress and develop as riders. DevineRIDE is that vision."
