Downhill World Champions Crowned in Les Gets

Still awaiting the final tally on the UCI web site, but for now here's who stood on the podium at the Downhill World Championships in Les Gets, France. Top men's qualifier Steve Peat led by a full second at the split only to tumble ass over tea kettle less than 5 seconds from the finish line. Perennial favorite on the women's side, Anne-Caroline Chausson did not start the race due to a torn rotator cuff, giving the rest of the field a chance to don the rainbow jersey for a season.Men
