Group Personal Training

Are you still procrastinating over getting to the gym to get ready for next biking season? Are you in spin classes already but are wondering what else you can do for conditioning? Do you hate the high cost of gym membership fees? Do you have this struggle every season???

Here is a solution for you: group personal training. The benefits of a personal trainer with no gym memberships, complications or hassles.Biking is a very generic word for what has become multiple sports. You want to be ready for next season but don’t want to put a lot of thinking into it. I cater to the older crowd who can’t come home after a hard ride or any ride without an owie somewhere. Yes, you could be 25 up to 65 years old. I have taught seniors aerobics classes, have trained at a World Cup competition level and have done everything in between.

How about injuries from dropping something and landing on a shoulder, knee or even your head? What if you don’t bike much but just want to get in shape? No problem.

Are you recovering from injury?

Here’s the scoop:
for those of you living in Calgary or surrounding areas, I’m running small classes of group-programs at the Olympic Oval at the University of Calgary beginning in January. I wish to sit down with each person, determine your goals (whether it be recovery from a knee injury, upping your arm and back strength, or just getting you toned in all the right places), and create a program for each person. We will use the running track, stairs, and floor only for some creative and very advanced exercises. My own training comes from 15 years of intense competition and training in various sports (including XC, DH and Dual Slalom mountain biking) with top Canadian and American coaches.

Can you keep up with this guy?

Pick your day:
Small groups of 10 people will go either Sunday, Monday or Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm – 8:30pm for 6 weeks. We will have an intro night for everyone Sunday, January 9, 2005 at the Olympic Oval running track. This is YOUR opportunity to voice your concerns about that knee that’s been acting up. How about wanting a coach make you work for it? Do you want to lose a couple of pounds after eating 3 Christmas dinners at various relatives’ homes over the holidays? The best thing is, I will monitor your progress on computer and send you the results. This program is for introductory to advanced training – those competing in elite provincial levels and above are not invited!

Additional information:

My aim is to help those in the same situation as myself. Without the motivation of a group, and without the specifics of a plan tailored for me, it’s easy to procrastinate. So, this is how I intend to help others.
