Another New Dirt Jump Park in Vancouver

Over the last couple of weeks, I've had the opportunity to help Hoots Jay build another bike park in Richmond, BC. We had a 3 man crew with 'Mountain Bike' Mike in the Excavator, Hooty calling the shots and DB looking after the lips and transitions. After we finished building the park, the community centre held a shaping day for the community and the kids who frequent the park last Saturday. We had dozens of kids come out and help put the finishing touches on the park. Thanks to the city of Richmond, we had pizza and pop for the kids and of course some dirt jumps to keep them motivated. Check out the size of some of these kids!

After stoking the kids with the low-down on the park rules, responsibilities and etiquette and prizes and stickers from Hooty and Endless Biking's sponsors, we officially opened the park to the public.

The park has 7 levels of progression which can accommodate any level of rider, from beginners to rippers. The park is quite fresh right now and should harden up nicely over the winter and spring and be ready to rip for the summer of 2006.

Enjoy the pics! Thank you for all of the support!
