I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when I visited the Fox (suspension) booth at Interbike. Their Fox Vanilla and Float front forks were very impressive with the Vanilla especially nice for the trailbike crowd coming in a 125mm travel version. These forks were very stiff (on display anyway) and super plush but Fox folks were very tight lipped about future DH versions of the fork. The part I found very disappointing, was Fox has no plans to update the Vanilla RC rear shock. With companies like
Avalanche ,
Progressive Suspension, and Curnutt upping the ante with among other things, position sensitive valving, custom tuning and unbelievable durability, I was shocked to hear a former industry leader like Fox was letting the opportunity pass.
