Interbike seemed to bring out all that is good and bad in the bike industry. There were companies like Ten Ten Products,
Chumba Wumba,
Razorrock,
Royal Racing,
Kona,
Evil,
Brooklyn,
Canfield,
Nicolai, Willits,
Soul Craft,
Avalanche,
Cove,
Dirt Rag,
Bike, and a myriad of others I don't have room to name, in this for love of the sport. They jammed into the Sands Convention Center with companies like Pacific (who stiffed racers Leigh Donovan, Steve Peat, and Alison Dunlap out of an estimated $125,000) and the plethora of cross-marketers trying to capitalize on the cycling industry. It was good to see the number of suits were hugely outnumbered by the souls of the sport. The unfortunate part is the suits' sales probably exceed the souls' exponentially! I’ll just keep telling myself it's all about the love!
