BaSE MTB & SB Camps - Calgary Alberta

May 16, 2009
by Greg Jones
Entering its first season of operation, Biking and Snowboarding Experience (aka BaSE) will be providing a variety of summer programs for riders in Calgary and the surrounding area. Armed with a shuttle van and trailer, BaSE represents an opportunity for young riders to experience trails they would not usually have access to while developing their skills and meeting new friends, all while under the watchful eyes of experienced coaches.BaSE MTB Camps & SB Camps

Most BaSE programs will meet at Canada Olympic Park, and from there riders will either session COPs recently re-designed trail network or hop into the BaSE van to sample some of the best freeride playgrounds that Southern Alberta and BC have to offer.

For the 2009 season, BaSE coaches will be riding the beautiful new Scythe FR/DH bike from Banshee. Check out bansheebikes.com to see why Banshee is quickly finding itself at the top of many riders’ wish lists in Western Canada. Along with Banshee Bikes, the killer list of sponsors includes Sombrio, Six Six One, Kenda, and Oakley. As a new company in its first year of operation, BaSE feel truly fortunate to have the support of some of the best names in the industry, and it just goes to show the commitment these companies have to developing our sport.

BaSE will kick off its inaugural season in June with weekend and evening programs, while the focus shifts to week-long summer camps in July and August, including the much anticipated “Okanagan Attack”. For more information on BaSE Camps, visit the website at www.thebase.ca

Is that blood on the guys lip on the front page of your website?? Probably not the best plan..
I'm just saying that if parents are going on there to register their kids maybe blood isn't such a good idea..
He looks really happy about it though haha

As a parent, I find it interesting that they show a boy with a bloody lip, if parents don't know that mtb is a sport with high risks, they might get it from that picture. I find the picture true to the sport and from reading their website, I am sure they do everything to keep everyone safe but also stoked on pushing their skills. It's good to see that the offering for youth is growing. Good on you guys!

Good site, like the design and graphics. You guys should mix it up with some local Kelowna singletrack riding instead of 3 days at the bike park.
