Why complain about the food? 5 days of mountain bike camp? Sick! Building and riding trails, Whistler Bike Park... It beats canoing and archery any day Smile I can't wait for camp this year.

umm, i dont wanna be mean or anything but the only bad thing about the camp is the food sucks. anyways I'm actually in teh below picture. Other than that though, it rocks, i mean you get ot build ur own trails adn all, tho also, not many instructors were interested in mtbking, if u know wat i mean..

Summit has moved sites, they're now located in the Squamish Valley. Before they were sharing a site with Camp Squamish in Brackendale, so were using their kitchen and didn't have much control over the food. Now they've got their own kitchen at the new site and so the food is much better so far this year.

There were some extra staff last season helping out with supervision and providing assistance that weren't "avid" bikers, but everyone involved in planning this years camp is super stoked!

like, I actually asked some of the instructors how much they were into mtb, and they were like, well I don't really like mtbking

Being that Summit is a summer camp first that also runs a bike camp, some of the staff involved are not there primarily for biking. We often have some of our regular camp staff helping to manage logistics and lend a hand, but all of the coaching is directed by Mike Jones (feel free to google him or check out his web site at www.mikejones.ca) and myself, with several other staff helping with assistant coaching and logistics, and I can attest to the fact that we've been planning and getting things ready for weeks now, and we'll be super charged up to get rolling!
