Event Report: Her Mountain Retreat

NORTHSTAR CALIFORNIAHer Mountain Weekend

Warm up drills.

On August 18th and 19th, we hosted our second and final Her Mountain Weekend. The Her Mountain Weekend is a 2-day event held twice per season just for the ladies.

We started the morning off with a yoga session at Tahoe Spa and Wellness. We then headed to Copper Lane restaurant for a delicious breakfast. We then did some warm up drills in the village.

We learned how to level lift!

We then had a fun ride down from mid mountain with our enthusiastic group of ladies. Throughout the weekend we worked on bike handling skills, cornering, line choice, jumping skills, drop techniques, and navigating rocky terrain.

The ladies got to cruise our newest offering at Northstar, the Playground. The berms are really fun!

We also worked on roll down lunge in our skill development area.

There's always time for fun laps through Two-Six park

This was the final Her Mountain Weekend of the summer, but we do have two more Pumps on Pedals on August 24th and August 31st. If you'd like a taste of what Her Mountain is like, come join us for free instruction from 5-7. We meet in front of the gondola and we offer a discounted lift ticket and bike rental for the session!

Been seeing way more female riders solo killing it and whole families in the trails. Only a few years back it was all dudes, welcome sight to see our sport grow.
