Flare Clothing Company is proud to announce the arrival of its 2017 collection. The new designs continue to reflect Creative Director Hannah Myers’ love for the Great Outdoors, but for the first time, the men’s and women’s lines sit alongside each other in harmony.

“In the past, I’ve tended to design the male and female lines independently of one another,” explains Hannah, Creative Director at Flare Clothing. “This year I’ve taken a new approach and have created patterns and shapes that would appeal to any Flare rider and have presented the men’s and women’s versions in different colours and patterns, with small twists.”

The Solar, Stage and Roost jerseys for men co-ordinate with all of the shorts in the range.

The resulting collection is bold, fun and sophisticated. Design motifs include a mountainscape, a pine tree print, and leaf pattern. The new approach to patterns means that garments can be mixed and matched across the different collections. The synergy continues with the introduction of a new logo, which appears on both the men’s and women’s garments. It also opens up the potential to widen the product range, plans for which are in the pipeline for later this year.

Inspiration comes from The Great Outdoors.

Fabrics are used in new ways for the brand across all three of Flare’s collections; Stage (Trail), Roost (DH) and Solar (summer). A new lightweight and highly breathable stretch fabric is used in the reverse of the Stage Jerseys to keep you cool when the terrain or the weather hots up, while the complementing shorts are also 4-way stretch to move with the rider in the saddle. By contrast, thicker fabrics are used for more durability in the Roost Jersey, and the shorts that complete the outfit pair Cordura with 4-way stretch fabric for the ideal balance in protection and comfort. Convenience is maximised with an adjustable waistband for tailored fit.

The women’s colours make a bold move away from the pink and teal as seen so often in MTB design.

“This collection brings together all of the feedback and experience we’ve accumulated over the last four years,” continues Myers. “I am really excited by the response so far.”
