The Swiss Enduro Series can look back on another highly successful weekend.
Despite the challenges created by persistent continuous rain.
The race organizers worked tirelessly to ensure that the race could take place in Airolo and ultimately successfully ran the event with adjusted conditions.
Due to the adverse weather conditions and for safety reasons, it was decided to reduce the number of planned stages from the original four to two.
Despite these changes, the race was highly demanding due to the external conditions.
The first race of the Swiss Enduro Series in the rain, won again Tim Bratschi in the men's category. He is therefore still unbeaten and showed also in the mud of Airolo that you have to beat him if you want to win a race. Stage 1 was won by Bratschi with a lead of 6 seconds. Bratschi defended this lead throughout the day.
Second place went to Florian Nicolai, who has already won Enduro World Series races. He proved his technical skills in the muddy and slippery conditions. Stage 2 was decided by Nicolai just ahead of Stefan Peter, who completed the podium in third place.
In the women's race, Ysaline van Kampen secured first place with a furious final stage. Van Kampen lost ground on the second stage to local hero Claudia Grassi and was in second place. On the final stage, Ysaline outpaced her rivals and turned a 20-second deficit into a slim 1.3-second lead.
Local hero Claudia Grassi was the big beaten and finished second.
While Delia da Mocogno, who had to deal with two crashes, finished third.
The organizers of the Swiss Enduro Series are happy to have put together a successful race despite the adverse weather conditions.

The passion for mountain biking were fully demonstrated in Airolo.
The Swiss Enduro Series continues its journey and is looking forward to its next race in the Aletsch Arena, which is also the Swiss Championship, where once again terrific trails await the participants.
