No worries man, I get that all the time....it's a 34x12 btw. I don't think it's hard at all and I need more top end speed cause this is what I ride everywhere including to work.
And thanks, I love this bike.
I was running 44x14 a month ago. You get used to it pretty quickly and it's not that bad at all. There are easy gears, comfortable gears, uncomfortable gears, and really hard gears. It was one of those really hard gears, but I'd take it over an uncomfortable gear any day. A gear that is just slightly too tall bugs me because you know it's close to perfection but not quite there. A stupidly tall gear just makes you accept it and you only concentrate on getting the bike moving.
Yeah, whatever you need it for and what works for you is what you should run for sure. Based on Trozei's basis mine is in the "comfortable gear" zone for sure. I only notice it when taking off from a complete stop, after that I am very happy to be able to get some speed going and I don't have much trouble between jumps. After getting used to it and knowing the riding technique to use I can pretty much get up any hill except for the long drawn out super steep ones. We all get to ride how and what we want fer sure.
Otherwise nice bike
