This all cedar drop replaces the old one on the side,it will be reused in a clay mucky section.Because it's all cedar as well very little rot. Problem was years ago I used two big birchs ,a woodpecker really thought I was a nice guy and was making a meal of it. nice eh? g
Power saw will clean up the final drop, but there she is ready for years of fun. You can just see the bench below. This whole section will see the dj's recribbed and buffed.g
Now there she is nine feet of a beautiful slabbed piece of clear cedar. Tight grain makes for beauty rungs or in this case beams.
Falling some cedar trees around here a lot easier way to do beams, but I only do it if, no other way.
Making 9ft beams here. The blocks are for rungs.Almost clear cedar, few stickers. I had to use a lot of wedges. Eric T(Dutch )my newest helper is being a good sport and carrying them to a ladder drop location. Others will be used for cribbing in a dj section.
The ladder drop above has attracted a woodpecker who is quite enjoying the meal. Made years ago a bigbirch just laidbetween the tree and a down beam. The beam below is 9ft long hand hewn . The rungs are beauty.
