Joining her is former Junior National Champion Marc-Andre Fortier. A steady top-3 finisher in the U23 field in Canada, he will be looking to make some damage among the U23 World Cup field, and hopefully add another National Champion title to his palmares.
The team started as a bunch of smelly, immature, acne-ridden juniors who looked forward to races so that they could throw fart jokes at every opportunity with their team-mates. Even though most of them are currently blossoming into incredible athletes, with already a few National Champion titles under their belts, and the acne is (mostly) gone, the spirit within the team remains the same; don’t take yourselves too seriously.
Also joining the OTE family this year is Evan Guthrie. Running his own privateer program, he will be targeting a mix of Canada Cups, US Cups, Epic Ride events, select World Cups, a few BC Enduro’s and select EWS rounds aboard the Pivot LES, Mach 429sl and Firebird frames. Busy summer ahead for “Team Solo Guthrie”.
At only 22 years of age, Frederique Trudel is already a four-time National Champion. As a first-year Elite, she’s aiming to battle at the front of the North-American pack this year and earn herself a spot at the World Championships. Being the only girl on the team, we can only hope that she doesn’t mind fart jokes.
