Geeez.... I just want a new bike... I bought a 26" wheeled Yeti with the saving I had just as 27.5 killed that standard. I'm going to save for an SB130 next I think, could be 2030 by the time I can afford the damn thing.

If they're metal braided, the plastic is mainly cosmetic. Peel it all off and call it a day! Protect the frame from rubbing with some 3M mastic tape.
