I had the 2006 Kona Stab Supreme. no matter what people say about that the linkage is not as good as a santacruz, this bike still rips dh and is a blast to ride. i was not a good jumper/freerider but it was amazing on the dh. just as good as my new specialized demo. i highly recommend it

 really great bike,speedy and haughty...:P
good handeling,really good component spec.
really stiff rear triangle.
I ride frame in "small" size and itś versatile bike, off course U can't jump dirt, but if U enjoy technical freeridin, this bike will never dissapoint you.
maybe it's not the lightest DH bike on the market, but it's pretty solid and allmost indestructible.

cheers

Wonderful frame, and you get wonderful response from the suspension

Would recomend it to anyone meaning to ride hard without being sure of allways landing everything perfect.

But prolly want to be a bit taller and heavier to handle it fully

geomerty fits my riding style well and it dosent ride as heavy as it is. Problems with the 07 and 08 is hub compatibility but any hub will now fit the 09 ones great DH bike but not to good for free ride.

Bike tracks amazingly. You can huck the shit out of it and it comes back for more. It definitely does not feel like a 43 pound bike. The Floating brake eats up the braking bumps. Kona definitely did it right with this one.

Awesome bike and smooth. Suspension makes the bumps dissapear and can take repetitive hard hits. However boxxers are the way to go on the front.

Once you hop on this bike and take off down the trail you get the feeling that you are unstopable. Nicknamed it the avalanche.

I love my bike! I'm a girl and don't have the strength the guys I ride with have and I have no problem maneuvering it unlike my friend's bikes i'd tried.

The thing is a tank. A little heavy but very stable at speed. No surprises, predictable and confident.
