Great freeride bike. Jumps fantastically and balances on skinnies like non other. Gives me the confidence to hit anything on the trail. The only downside is the lack of adjustability on the shocks. You just might have to buy new springs if you are a heavier or lighter rider. Otherwise fantastic bike.

Picked this bike up for $2099.99 out the door at "The Bike Shop" in Calgary.
I am no expert, but these are my findings.

Pros:
Most Bike for the money I could find,
7.5" Travel,
Super strong Hussefelt Crank,
Near indestructable Frame,
Expandable rear travel
Light weight,
Seat

Cons:
Domain fork has little to no actual rebound adjustment.
No quick release rear wheel.
No compression adjustment on Vanilla R

I got it has a frame and build it from that (same frame has all the flatline serie) they are bomb proof and eats everything in ruff. Its like a bit boat on tiny stuff but you really apreciat it when going fast and ruff or in big drops.

i have this same frame but with a 888 on the front and it is the best combo ever it has a lower ceneter of gravity so it corners awesome and jumps like a dream

ummm, i own this bike. It doesn't work like a single pivot, but a whole lot better. The downside, like owning downhill bike, the bike its self weighs a ton.

Love this bike, i got it for pretty cheap and upgraded the brakes, fork and rear shock. It now preforms beautifully and its my main bike and my favorite bike.

Rocky Mountain Flatline 1 (MSRP $2949.99) — LC2R The Low Centre Counter Rotating - LC2R - patented suspension is a laterally stiff design that offers a highly predictable ride in all conditions. Its low sprung weight and concentrated suspension mass allow the LC2R suspension to respond faster to ground forces, such as stutter bumps, and keep the rear wheel glued to the ground during acceleration. LC2R suspension is a single pivot design, with the main pivot located just above and behind the bottom bracket. Both chain and brake forces are concentric to this pivot through-out the suspension travel, which eliminates pedal “bob” and brake jack. A thrust/ tug link engages the top link to create a rising rate suspension and the much-sought-after “infinite travel” feel. We tune LC2R to create an optimal suspension rate for different types of riding – from super cross country to Freeride and to downhill. * Linearly Rising LC2R suspension rate is tuned for freeride and downhill racing; suspension progression is inherent to the linkage design, not the shock absorber. * Concentric to the main pivot point, chain and brake forces eliminate pedal “bob”; suspension is stable during pedaling, and “platform” pedaling is inherent to the suspension design - not the shock. * Counter rotating top link creates a more laterally stiff Swingarm for increased control in tight corners, and the occasional sideways landing. * The counter rotating link along with the kinked down tube allow for a low and center positioning of the shock absorber in the frame. This low-slung concentrated mass allows the bike to rotate in any direction faster than if the center of mass was positioned higher in the frame. * Oversized double-row angular contact bearings increase bearing life, and allow for a less expensive bearing to be used. (more affordable for retail level replacement) * Triangulated Swingarm maximizes suspension strength, while keeping its weight to a minimum. * Tuglinks (as opposed to thrustlinks) increase suspension sensitivity to very small bumps, further aiding in smoothing out the trail. FORM Technology The heart of a bike is its frame. The geometry, the material, the feel, and the way it reacts under the rider are the very essence of the ride. That’s why we’ve introduced FORM™ – the design and manufacturing process of our high-performance frame tubing. Our philosophy behind FORM™ tubing is to push the limits of tube and frame design to create the frame’s unique riding feel. Engineered Ride Quality : FORM™ tubing is a line of high-performance tubes designed to elevate the superior ride quality for which Rocky Mountain Bicycles are known. Innovative design: With 25 years of innovation, we continue to push the boundaries of bicycle design. FORM™ tubing is the exciting new frontier of our creativity. Attention to detail: Every detail in a FORM™ tube set is carefully engineered and has a purpose: from the slightest variations in shape, to wall thickness, tapers, flares and bends. Uncompromised quality: FORM™ tube sets are manufactured with premium materials and delivered by the best suppliers in the industry to meet Rocky Mountain’s strict requirements. Floating Brake (For Flatline Only) • RMB Designed Floating brake system (available as an after-market purchase) removes the rear wheel braking force (brake jack) from the suspension action. • The floating brake caliper eliminates wheel inertia effects of applying the rear brake by allowing the brake to move indepently of the rear axle. • The floating brake caliper maintains a constant wheelbase length throughout all points of front and rear travel.
